Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Journals Issues, Methods, and Advances in Engineering Research is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This journal follows ethical principles in scholarly publishing to ensure that all published articles are credible, original, transparent, and accountable. All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, are expected to uphold ethical standards and avoid any form of publication misconduct.

This publication ethics statement applies to all manuscripts submitted to the journal and covers issues related to authorship, originality, plagiarism, peer review, conflicts of interest, data integrity, corrections, retractions, and research ethics.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for making fair, objective, and transparent decisions regarding submitted manuscripts. The decision to accept, revise, or reject a manuscript must be based on the academic merit, originality, relevance, methodological quality, clarity, and contribution of the manuscript to the field of engineering research.

Editors must ensure that each manuscript is evaluated without discrimination based on the authors’ gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, institutional affiliation, political views, or other personal characteristics. Editors must also maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial board members, or publisher when necessary.

Editors are responsible for ensuring that the peer review process is conducted properly, objectively, and ethically. Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for personal research or other purposes without written permission from the authors.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly publication. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, objective, timely, and academically sound evaluations of manuscripts.

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents. They must not share, discuss, copy, or use the contents of the manuscript for personal advantage. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and inform the editor of any substantial similarity, overlap, plagiarism, or suspected ethical issue found in the manuscript.

Reviewers must decline the review assignment if they feel unqualified to evaluate the manuscript, cannot complete the review within the required time, or have a conflict of interest with the authors, institutions, or research topic.

Duties of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscript is original, accurate, and has not been published or submitted elsewhere at the same time. Authors must present their research findings honestly and clearly, without fabrication, falsification, data manipulation, or misleading statements.

Authors must ensure that all sources used in the manuscript are properly cited. Any form of plagiarism, including copying text, ideas, data, figures, or tables without proper acknowledgment, is considered unethical and unacceptable.

Authors must ensure that all individuals listed as authors have made significant contributions to the research, including the conception, design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, writing, or revision of the manuscript. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission for publication.

Originality and Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to Journals Issues, Methods, and Advances in Engineering Research must be original works. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or improper citation practices.

The editorial team may use plagiarism detection tools to check the originality of submitted manuscripts. Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research, review, or publication process. Conflicts of interest may include financial relationships, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, academic competition, or other circumstances that could affect objectivity.

Research Ethics

Research involving human participants, animals, sensitive data, or hazardous materials must comply with relevant ethical standards, institutional regulations, and applicable laws.
