Publication Ethics

Educational Research Studies is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This publication ethics statement applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

The journal upholds the principles of transparency, originality, fairness, confidentiality, accountability, and integrity in all stages of manuscript submission, peer review, editorial decision, and publication.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for managing the editorial process fairly, objectively, and professionally. Every manuscript submitted to Educational Research Studies is evaluated based on its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, originality, academic quality, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and contribution to educational research.

Editors must ensure that manuscripts are reviewed without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, institutional affiliation, political view, or other personal characteristics.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial board members, and the publisher when necessary.

Editors must avoid conflicts of interest. If an editor has a personal, academic, financial, or institutional conflict with a manuscript, the editor must withdraw from the editorial process and assign the manuscript to another qualified editor.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive academic feedback.

Reviewers must conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and professionally. Review comments should be clear, constructive, evidence-based, and relevant to improving the quality of the manuscript. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents. Manuscripts received for review must not be shared, discussed, copied, or used for personal advantage.

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest and decline the review assignment if they are unable to provide an objective evaluation. Reviewers are also expected to notify the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, unethical research practice, or substantial similarity with other published works.

Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal at the same time.

Authors are responsible for presenting accurate, honest, and complete research findings. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate submission, data manipulation, and improper citation are serious violations of publication ethics.

Authors must properly acknowledge all sources used in the manuscript. Any ideas, data, words, theories, instruments, or findings taken from other works must be cited appropriately.

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, implementation, analysis, interpretation, or writing of the manuscript. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.

Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest, including financial, institutional, personal, or professional relationships that may influence the research, analysis, or interpretation of findings. Sources of funding, if any, must also be clearly stated in the manuscript.

Plagiarism and Similarity

Educational Research Studies does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism detection tools or similarity checking software.

Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels, plagiarism, improper citation, duplicate publication, or unethical use of sources may be rejected before review, returned to authors for revision, or withdrawn from the publication process.

Research Ethics

Authors conducting research involving human participants, educational institutions, students, teachers, communities, surveys, interviews, classroom observations, or personal data must ensure that the research is conducted ethically and responsibly.

Authors must obtain informed consent, institutional permission, or ethical approval when required. Personal data, confidential information, and sensitive research materials must be handled carefully and ethically.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that may affect the objectivity, integrity, or fairness of the publication process.

If a conflict of interest is identified, Educational Research Studies will take appropriate steps to ensure transparency and fairness, including assigning another editor or reviewer when necessary.

Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawal

The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. If significant errors, ethical violations, plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate publication, or other forms of misconduct are discovered after publication, the editorial team may issue corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, or article withdrawals depending on the seriousness of the case.

Authors are expected to cooperate with the editorial team in clarifying or correcting any issues related to their submitted or published work.

Publication Misconduct

Publication misconduct includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, duplicate submission, redundant publication, unethical authorship, peer-review manipulation, and failure to disclose conflicts of interest.

Publisher’s Responsibility

The publisher of Educational Research Studies supports the editorial team in maintaining publication ethics, editorial independence, transparency, and the quality of scholarly publication.

The publisher is responsible for ensuring that editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial, political, institutional, or personal interests. The publisher also supports any action required to correct the scholarly record when ethical issues are identified.
