Publication Ethics

Applied : Journal of Science, Engineering and Technologies is a peer-reviewed scientific journal committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This statement explains the ethical responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher in the publication process.

The journal upholds the principles of transparency, originality, accountability, fairness, and integrity in scholarly publishing. All parties involved in the publication process are expected to follow ethical standards to ensure the quality and credibility of published scientific works.

Duties of Editors

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and may help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive feedback. Reviewers are expected to provide objective, clear, honest, and academically sound evaluations.

Reviewers should only agree to review manuscripts that match their field of expertise. If a reviewer feels unqualified to review a manuscript or cannot complete the review within the required time, they should notify the editor immediately.

Duties of Authors

Authors should also avoid redundant publication, which occurs when substantially similar research is published in more than one place without proper cross-reference, justification, or permission.

Data Accuracy and Research Integrity

Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools

Authors who use artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of manuscripts must ensure that the final work remains accurate, original, and ethically responsible. AI tools should not be listed as authors because authorship requires responsibility and accountability for the content of the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for checking the accuracy of any content generated or assisted by artificial intelligence tools and must disclose the use of such tools when relevant.

Correction, Retraction, and Withdrawal

If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.

The journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions if a published article is found to contain serious errors, plagiarism, unethical research practices, data falsification, or other violations of publication ethics.

Manuscript withdrawal after submission must be requested formally by the author with clear reasons. Authors should not withdraw manuscripts irresponsibly during or after the peer review process.

Publisher’s Responsibilities

The publisher of Applied : Journal of Science, Engineering and Technologies is responsible for supporting editors, reviewers, and authors in maintaining publication ethics.
